About Craig
Craig Lockwood is the Head Professional at Lockwood Academy, based at Potters Resorts Five Lakes in Essex. He has coached for nearly 20 years and delivered more than 20,000 lessons, from complete beginners through to tour professionals.
Craig coaches on the DP World Tour and brings that same standard of clarity and preparation to every lesson at the academy. Coaching that many golfers sharpens your eye: he can quickly identify the one or two changes that will genuinely move a player's game forward and explain them in a way that lasts.
Craig's approach is built on the belief that golfers do not need more information; they need the right information, made repeatable. He leads the academy's coaching programme, mentors the wider coaching team, and continues to develop the practice frameworks that underpin how Lockwood Academy players train.

Clarity over information. You do not need more swing thoughts; you need the right one, explained in a way that makes sense to you.
Changes must be repeatable and adaptable. A fix that only works on a perfect lie on the range is not a fix.
Purposeful practice builds skill. Every lesson ends with a plan for how to practise, not just what to change.
